CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- At about 2 a.m. on April 1, the concrete placement for the first bearing platform of Lisicun Bridge undertaken by China Railway Construction Bridge Engineering Bureau Group Co., Ltd. was completed, marking the main part of the project: Chongqing Section of Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu High-speed Railway (Yichang-Fuling) (hereafter referred to as “Yichang-Fuling High-Speed Railway”) enters the full-scale construction phase.

The departure station of Yichang-Fuling High-speed Railway is Yichang North Railway Station on a high-speed railway along the Yangtze River from Wuhan to Yichang, a project that is under construction. The line of this railway starts from Yichang City, Hubei Province in the east, and runs westward through Enshi Prefecture, Hubei Province, Shizhu County, Fengdu County, Fuling District in Chongqing Municipality, and connects with Changshou North Railway Station on Zhengzhou-Chongqing High-speed Railway. The newly built railway is 471km long in total, with a design speed of 350km/h. There are 5 stations on Chongqing section of Yichang-Fuling High-speed Railway, including a newly built station (Shizhu East Railway Station), and 4 rebuilt stations (Huangshui Railway Station, Fengdu Railway Station, Fuling North Railway Station and Changshou Railway Station).

Upon completion, the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu High-speed Railway will become a new high-speed railway corridor with a speed of 350km/h connecting Sichuan-Chongqing region and central China, which will play a prominent role in enhancing the integrated multidimensional transportation corridor along the Yangtze Economic Belt and driving its high-quality development.
