CHONGQING (CQNEWS) --     On March 10, construction work was underway at the Wubu River Dual-track Bridge site in Mudong Town, Banan District.

The Wubu River Dual-track Bridge, part of the Chongqing-Wanzhou High-speed Railway, is located in Banan District. The bridge spans a total length of 1,796 meters and features 48 bridge piers. One of the continuous beams extends across a single span, with the tallest pier reaching 105 meters. This critical infrastructure crosses the S207 provincial highway and the Wubu River, demanding stringent environmental protections, meticulous risk management, and cutting-edge engineering solutions. As of March 2025, workers have completed all foundational piles and platform structures for the bridge. Thirty-nine of the 48 piers (81% of the total) now stand tall, with the remaining sections progressing steadily.

The Chongqing-Wanzhou High-speed Railway stretches 251 kilometers, with a design speed of 350 km/h. It passes through several districts and counties of Chongqing, including Nanan, Banan, Fuling, Fengdu, Zhongxian, and Wanzhou. (Photographed by Xie Zhiqiang / Visual Chongqing)
