CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The successful connection of the right line of Jiangnan Tunnel on March 5 marks the cutting-through of two lines of the tunnel.

As a municipal key project, Jiangnan Tunnel and Chahuang Road Project is one of the most convenient distribution channels of Chongqing East Railway Station, and it is also a key project to enhance the linkage between the eastern trough valley and the central valley in the central urban area of Nan’an District. At present, 73% of Jiangnan Tunnel and 90% of Chahuang Road have been completed, and the ancillary facilities and traffic safety facilities have been built simultaneously, striving to be completed and put into use by the end of this year. It will become the fastest traffic connection from Nanping District to Chayuan District upon completion, which can effectively alleviate the traffic congestion of Zhenwu Mountain and Nanshan Tunnel.
