CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The reporter recently learned from Chongqing Zoo that it has created a dream-like "Monet Garden" for citizens and visitors with over 20 varieties of nearly 100,000 tulips through European-style garden art, offering a spring aesthetic journey across time and space.

This year’s flower exhibition, themed “Building a European Style Dream, Showing Elegant Charm of Tulips”, is held in two phases. The first phase lasting from late February to the end of March, is the Tulip-themed exhibition, which features tulips as the centerpiece, complemented by hyacinths, daffodils, and other flowering bulbs, showcasing the classic charm of continental gardens. The second phase lasting from late February to early May, is the spring flower-themed exhibition, at which a variety of local spring flowers will be displayed, such as peonies, azaleas, and hydrangeas, showing the graceful aesthetic of Eastern gardens.

It is worth mentioning that this year's flower exhibition brings together famous tulip varieties from around the world, including three "star varieties" making their debut in Southwest China. The "Pioneer", different from the traditional cup-shaped flower, features petals that unfurl like tassels, resembling flames in spring. The "Miss Chang'an," inspired by Eastern ink painting, has milk-white petals tinged with pale purple streaks, exuding a refined Chinese style. The "Fox Trot" features pink satin-like fringed petals that curl lightly, resembling the skirt's hemline of a dancer swaying in the breeze.

In addition, hyacinths, daffodils, and other flowers will also compete for attention. Upon entering the zoo, visitors will be immersed in a meticulously designed European-style themed landscape, complemented by vast fields of gradient tulips, recreating the light and shadow rhythms of Impressionist paintings.
