Within just two months, the number of foreign visitors arriving through Chongqing’s ports has soared by 60%, amounting to over 23,000 arrivals. Notably, the number of foreign nationals entering visa-free has skyrocketed by an astonishing 245%.

Since the implementation of the 240-hour visa-free transit policy, over 23,000 foreign visitors have entered through Chongqing’s ports, marking a 60% increase compared to the same period last year. Alongside the 245% surge in visa-free arrivals, the number of travelers entering with a port visa has increased by 91%, and those opting for the 240-hour visa-free transit option have risen by 118%.
