This year, the Spring Festival holiday was extended to eight days for the first time following the national adjustment of official public holidays. As a result, more citizens took the opportunity to drive their EVs for family visits, travel, and sightseeing. To meet the increased demand for charging during the holiday, State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company made early preparations and implemented a comprehensive plan to enhance charging services. Their efforts ensured that the city’s charging infrastructure operated smoothly, providing citizens with reliable and convenient access to charging stations.

To alleviate charging pressure at highway service areas, State Grid Chongqing Electric Power expanded its charging network by constructing or upgrading 89 supercharging stations in service areas along major highways before the festival. Additionally, over 100 ultra-fast charging stations were set up at highway exits and nearby towns to further boost capacity. During the holiday, 110 mobile charging units were deployed at key locations, including highway service areas and popular tourist destinations, reducing wait times for drivers in need of a charge.
