CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On January 24, the first batch of convenience service stations of Chongqing Rail Transit were put into service, providing one-stop services like sending and receiving packages, and storing luggage.

For the convenience of passengers, Chongqing Rail Transit (Group) Co., Ltd. and Shunfeng Express Chongqing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred as “SF Express”) have worked together to equip Chongqing Rail Transit stations with convenience service facilities, trying to set up multifunctional convenience service stations that provide services such as transportation, express and logistics, and life services.

The first two convenient service stations that have been put into service are located at Chongqing North Station South Square Station and the Terminal 3 of Jiangbei Airport.

The service stations are set up with package sending and receiving areas and convenient storage lockers, providing passengers and tourists with a one-stop services “storage, sending, and collect” for luggage and parcels. Whether sending documents, parcels, or personal luggage, passengers can handle it all within the station, allowing for “hands-free, easy travel”.

Storage lockers offer 24-hour self-service storage. The lockers are designed with compartments in three different sizes according to passengers’ demands. The largest compartments can store 28-inch suitcases. As for storage fee, for example, it costs 5 yuan per hour to store a 28-inch suitcase, 6 hours at most. If it is stored for over 24 hours, additional 10 yuan per day will be charged. If the luggage is not retrieved within 24 hours, the system will send a reminder message to the passenger.

When sending express parcels at the station, the fees are consistent with regular charges. It should be noted that, for safety and compliance reasons, all items sent at the convenient service stations should not violate the “Catalogue of Items Prohibited and Restricted by Chongqing Rail Transit” or the “Catalogue for Prohibited Items for Delivery” and other relevant regulations, and must go through security checks.
