CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- This Spring Festival, visitors to Chongqing will have the chance to explore the city in a fun and unique way, thanks to a series of sightseeing bus routes launched under the “Urban Sightseeing • Explore Chongqing” initiative. Operated by the West Public Transport, Chongqing City Transportation Development & Investment Group, these tours invite tourists to hop on a City Bus and take in the iconic sights of the mountain city.

Several “Urban Sightseeing • Explore Chongqing” sightseeing routes have been launched, connecting popular landmarks like Jiefangbei, Hongyadong, Chaotianmen, Ciqikou, and Nanbin Road.

To make the experience even more enjoyable, 26 new energy buses will operate along the Zhazidong - Baigongguan - Ciqikou scenic route during the holiday, easing the transportation load on these popular tourist areas and enhancing passenger comfort.

In addition to sightseeing, the buses will feature special holiday activities. From the first to the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, a lucky draw will be held at the Lailongxiang Bus Ticket Booth in Jiefangbei. Tourists can win prizes such as the “Magical Night Bus Ticket” or a “One-Day Pass”, worth up to 98 yuan.

For those born in the Year of the Snake, there’s an exclusive treat: simply show your ID, and you can experience the T041 “Magical Night Bus” for free! The bus runs daily from 7:15 to 8:00 PM between January 29 and February 4, offering a mesmerizing view of the city’s riverfront lights. Only five free spots are available each day, so make sure to register at the Lailongxiang Bus Ticket Booth in Jiefangbei in advance.
