CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On January 15, the Chongqing Municipal Public Security Bureau’s Exit-Entry Administration announced that during the 2025 Spring Festival holiday, the visa office at Chongqing's exit-entry ports will remain open around the clock, offering 24-hour “urgent services” for both domestic and international travelers facing emergencies.
Notably, for residents from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan whose documents have expired or been lost, and who are unable to obtain new documents in time for their trip to Chongqing, they may apply for exit-entry documents at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, provided they have all the required application materials.
Additionally, foreign nationals from non-visa-exempt countries (including single-entry exemption, mutual exemption, and 240-hour transit visa-free countries) who are unable to complete the visa process at Chinese embassies or consulates due to urgent business, exchange activities, family visits, or other reasons can apply for a port visa upon arrival with an invitation letter and supporting documents from a company or relative. Nationals from visa-exempt countries can enter according to the relevant visa-exemption policies.
Moreover, document processing fees can be paid via Alipay, WeChat, or UnionPay QR codes, or in cash at the service window.
For further inquiries, citizens can call the National Immigration Administration's consultation hotline at 12367, or the Chongqing Municipal Public Security Bureau’s Exit-Entry Administration Visa Office at 86-023-63961955 for consultation and appointment bookings.
