CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- To offer passengers a more comfortable travel environment, Chongqing Rail Transit Group (a subsidiary of Chongqing City Transportation Development & Investment Group) is currently renovating restrooms at 20 stations. The first batch of upgrades, including those at Xiaoshizi Station and Grand Theatre Station, has already been completed, with the once-outdated facilities now fully revamped. Not only have the walls and interiors been extensively renovated, but the equipment and amenities have also been significantly upgraded.
As part of the renovation, additional squat toilets have been added to the women's restrooms, helping to alleviate peak-hour queues. Furthermore, wall-mounted baby changing platforms have been installed, making it more convenient for parents traveling with young children. Enhancements to the blind pathways and the addition of accessible restrooms reflect CRT’s commitment to providing thoughtful services for all passengers.
In addition to these functional improvements, the restrooms have undergone air quality upgrades. New ventilation systems and optimized air ducts have been introduced to help eliminate odors, kill bacteria, and purify the air, ensuring a fresher, cleaner environment.
Beyond functionality, the restrooms now feature more attractive designs. Grille-style air vents facilitate better airflow, while integrated lighting fixtures cast a bright yet soft glow, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The use of stainless steel partitions adds both aesthetic appeal and durability.
Chongqing Rail Transit Group has stated that the renovation of restrooms at other stations will continue, ensuring an even more comfortable travel experience for all passengers. (Translated by Yuki, Fathom Language Limited)
