CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On December 16, with the loading of the final container, the first premium fast line of the New Land-Sea Corridor, connecting Chongqing and Indonesia (Jakarta), was set to depart from Qinzhou Port. The ship, fully loaded with goods from the Chongqing-Jakarta rail-sea intermodal service, is expected to arrive at Jakarta Port in about ten days. The cargo had originally departed from the Tuanjie Village Central Station on December 13 and seamlessly connected with the direct sea shipping service that set sail on December 16.

Compared to regular rail-sea intermodal services, this fast line stands out for its flexibility in scheduling and vigorous operational support. By optimizing key processes such as container return, rail dispatch, and rail-sea transfer, the fast line has successfully reduced the land transport time by over three days. The rail transit time has been cut to under 32 hours. Upon arrival, the goods are prioritized for handling and transfer, and through a “direct-to-ship” service, they are seamlessly integrated with the direct Southeast Asia-bound vessels, significantly improving transportation efficiency and effectively lowering logistics costs. Studies show that the overall transit time of this premium fast line is more than 30% faster than that of regular services.

In the future, the New Land-Sea Corridor’s rail-sea intermodal premium fast line will maintain a weekly departure frequency. The initiative also plans to develop more premium fast lines to offer businesses both domestically and internationally more stable and efficient logistics solutions, helping to position the corridor as a "new business card" for inland China’s opening-up efforts.
