CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Following the successful completion of the power supply connection, the Chongqing Rail Transit Line 6 Chongqingdong Railway Station section passed its hot sliding test and achieved train operation readiness on December 3, bringing it one step closer to full operation, according to the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.

A hot sliding test was conducted to evaluate the section’s operational readiness, which involved rigorous inspections of the power supply system, track clearance, and other critical technical parameters. The test also confirmed a smooth and optimal alignment between the pantograph and the overhead catenary system, meeting all expected performance standards.

Chongqing Rail Transit Group explained that the hot sliding test not only validated the traction power supply, track structure, signaling, and communication systems but also laid the groundwork for the subsequent train commissioning process.

Train operations readiness indicates that the line has passed critical benchmarks, including clearance checks and cold and hot sliding tests, and is ready for train operations. This milestone also indicates the line is prepared to enter the joint commissioning and testing phase, during which dynamic train debugging will ensure all systems operate seamlessly.

The Chongqingdong Railway Station segment of Line 6 serves as a vital transportation artery, linking Chongqingdong Railway Station with the city’s central urban areas. Located in the Chayuan residential area in Nan’an District, this segment begins at the Chongqingdong Railway Station and ends at Liujiaping Station, an operational stop on Line 6. With a length of 6.79 kilometers, the segment includes four stations: Chongqingdong Railway Station, Changsheng Laojie Station, Baileyuan Station, and Liujiaping Station.
