CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- To vigorously promote the spirit of scientists, the "Backbone of the Republic – Exhibition of Fine Collections from the National Museum for Modern Chinese Scientist" Tour in Chongqing kicked off in the Chongqing Science and Technology Museum on November 21. This Itinerant Exhibition in Chongqing will run until January 6, 2025.

The exhibition in Chongqing is the fourth stop of the national tour of the “Backbone of the Republic – Exhibition of Fine Collections from the National Museum for Modern Chinese Scientist”. The exhibition is divided into three parts: "The Party’s Leadership in Science and Technology", "Holding High the Torch of Spirit and Striving to Pass It on", and "Opening up and Cooperation Towards National Rejuvenation". The exhibition covers an area of approximately 1,000 square meters and showcases over 60 items (or sets) of physical exhibits from more than 190 scientists, including Qian Xuesen, Yuan Longping, Gu Fangzhou, and Nan Rendong, along with over 400 precious photos of them. Some of the physical exhibits were shown in this national tour for the first time.

The reporter found that among the exhibits on site was a screening sheet of surplus subclass drugs handwritten by Tu Youyou, China's first Nobel Prize laureate in Medicine, in 1970. It neatly listed the names, effects, dosages, and the combination relationships between various drugs, reflecting the meticulous scientific attitude of the recorder.
In addition, the renowned bridge expert Mao Yisheng's manuscript titled How Bridges Are Built was also on display, containing his unique insights into bridge construction. (Translated by Jane, Fathom Language Limited)
