CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The “Cup of China” ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Roadshow 2024 will take place at the Huaxi LIVE Yudong Venue in Chongqing from November 22 to 24.

As a prelude to each China Cup, the highly anticipated roadshow for the “Cup of China” ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Roadshow 2024 was held at the Bingfen Wanxiang Ice Skating Rink in Chongqing on the evening of November 20, bringing the thrill of figure skating to local fans.

National team athletes Chen Hongyi, An Xiangyi, Zhu Yi, Xiao Zixi/He Linghao, and Ren Junfei/Xing Jianing took to the ice to perform and interact with the audience. The athletes’ performances captivated the crowd, offering a rare opportunity for Chongqing’s residents to enjoy the elegance of figure skating up close, right in their own city.

The event featured a dazzling array of performances, including three female singles skaters and two ice dance pairs, each showcasing their remarkable skills and artistry. From powerful jumps and elegant spins to smooth glides, every movement demonstrated the athletes' high level of professionalism and artistic expression, earning frequent applause from the enthusiastic audience. The ice dance pairs impressed with their seamless coordination, unique choreography, and flawless musical timing, leaving everyone in awe.

One of the highlights of the evening was the special segment featuring young skaters. These talented children demonstrated remarkable courage and skill as they took to the ice, impressing everyone with their poise and talent well beyond their years.

Kangkang Zi, one of the young participants, shared his excitement with reporters: “I’ve always watched those famous skaters perform on TV, but I never imagined I would have the chance to skate with them on the same ice. I’m so happy!”

The young skaters who participated in the roadshow will soon have the chance to perform on the international stage at the China Cup, where they will showcase the youthful energy and talent of Chongqing’s figure skating community.
