CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On November 18, citizens were seen enjoying the newly constructed sightseeing elevator at Dalongshan Park in Longshan Sub-district, Yubei District, which was put into use recently.

Dalongshan Park, located on hilly terrain, presents some accessibility challenges, as many of its access roads are quite steep, making it difficult for visitors to explore the area fully. During a series of community feedback sessions organized by the representatives from the Yubei People's Congress in Longshan Sub-district, local residents suggested constructing an elevator to improve access. This idea was quickly embraced, and representatives from the district's People’s Congress conducted several site surveys to push the project forward.

The installation and operation of the sightseeing elevator have greatly improved accessibility to the park, making it easier for everyone, especially the elderly and children, to visit. The elevator has been widely praised by the public. (Photographed by Long Fan / Visual Chongqing)
