CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- It's learned from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport that the direct flight between Chongqing and Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, has been officially resumed since November 16. Before December 12, there will be one flight every Saturday, and from December 12 onward, there will be one flight each on Thursdays and Saturdays.
The flight, operated by Himalaya Airlines, takes off at 14:50 from Chongqing, and arrives at 17:00 in Kathmandu, with a flight duration of approximately 4 hours and 25 minutes. The return flight takes off at 08:00 from Kathmandu and landed at 13:50 in Chongqing, with a flight duration of about 3 hours and 35 minutes (all times are local).
Before December 12, there will be one flight every Saturday, and since December 12, there will be one flight each on Thursdays and Saturdays. Passengers can book tickets by visiting the Himalayan Airlines official website and major OTA platforms (more details about the flight and ticket prices may vary based on actual inquiries).
It is worth mentioning that Nepal currently offers visa-free entry with a landing visa for Chinese citizens, waiving the visa fee.
Since the beginning of this year, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport has seen a significant increase in international (regional) passenger flights, with over 10 international passenger air routes, such as routes from Chongqing to Seattle, Milan, Jakarta, Penang, Phnom Penh, Hanoi, and Vientiane, having been opened or resumed.
