CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Are college students good cooks? On November 9, the "Taste of Autumn" Competition of Cooking Skill, part of the 2024 "Golden Autumn" exhibition and exchange activities for college and technical students from Sichuan and Chongqing, co-hosted by the Education Working Committee of Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, Chongqing Municipal Education Commission and other institutions, was held at the Hechuan campus of Chongqing College of Mobile Communication.
It is learned that this event involved 20 finalist teams and 7 food-related student clubs emerged from a total of 101 participating teams across 42 universities from Sichuan and Chongqing. Through food, the common language, this competition has deepened the cultural exchange and friendship between the two regions.
The reporter found that the participating students showcased their exceptional knife and caving, and transformed ordinary ingredients into stunning dishes by using various cooking methods such as stir-frying, frying, steaming, and boiling. Long Jiang, Secretary and Director of the Party Committee of the Chongqing Children's Palace, introduced that cooking not only represent the inheritance of skills and the display of culture, but also embody students' love for and pursuit of a better life, as well as a deep understanding of labor education.
