CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- At 9:58 am on November 10, the first high-gas tunnel, the Zhoujiawan Tunnel, of the Chongqing-Wanzhou High-speed Railway was successfully completed. Workers are now conducting follow-up operations at the construction site following the tunnel breakthrough.

The Zhoujiawan Tunnel, located in the Fuling District, has a total length of 2,404 meters, including a high-gas section measuring 1,480 meters, making it the tunnel with the highest gas pressure along the entire line. The successful breakthrough of this tunnel marks the beginning of the critical phase for tunneling construction for the entire project.
