CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On November 4, the 2024 National Shooting Grand Finals (Skeet) came to a successful conclusion in Chongqing. According to the Chongqing Shooting and Archery Sports Administration Center, in this competition, the veteran Dai Siqi won a bronze medal under great pressure for the Chongqing team in the men's skeet multi-directional event.
This skeet competition was hosted by the Shooting and Archery Sports Administration Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, the Chinese Shooting Association, and the Chongqing Municipal Bureau of Sports and organized by the Chongqing Shooting and Archery Sports Administration Center and the Chongqing Shooting Sports Association. The competition featured three categories: men's individual, women's individual, and mixed team, including men's (women's) skeet multi-directional, skeet double-directional, and mixed team skeet double-directional events. A total of 115 high-level shooting athletes from 19 provinces and cities across the country participated, competing for the championship, runner-up, and third place in five individual and team events.
In this fierce competition involving numerous strong teams, the medals were won by teams from multiple provinces and cities. Among them, the Jiangsu team demonstrated strong strength, winning 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal. The Beijing team won 1 gold medal and 1 silver medal, while the Liaoning team made notable achievements in the men's multi-directional and women's double-directional events, finishing with 1 gold medal and 1 bronze medal.
As for the host team, Chongqing team, Dai Siqi, who has achieved great success in national competitions multiple times, performed excellently under great pressure. He won a bronze medal in the men's skeet multi-directional event for Chongqing team.
In addition, the Guangdong team, Hunan team, and Shanghai team each won a silver medal, while the Fujian team, Shaanxi team, and Henan team each won a bronze medal.
