Delegations of European Chinese cultural and tourism enterprises visiting Chongqing during their trip to Bashu

CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- In order to make full use of a series of favorable policies for inbound tourism, such as expanding the scope of visa-waiver countries for China, actively promote the rapid development of the European inbound tourism market to China, prepare for the upcoming implementation of the 144-hour visa free transit policy in Sichuan and Chongqing, and promote the construction of the Bashu Cultural Tourism Corridor into a world-class leisure tourism destination, recently, the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, the Chongqing Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, in collaboration with the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Sichuan Provincial Returned Overseas Chinese Federation, have successfully held the Tour to Bashu for the delegation of European Chinese cultural and tourism enterprises. This is one of the series activities "Telling the World about Chongqing" launched by the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism this year.
From October 26 to 28, nearly 20 delegations of Chinese cultural and tourism enterprises from 14 countries and regions, including the United Kingdom, Germany, and Austria arrived in Chongqing, embarking on the journey of "Telling the World about Chongqing". The field trip mainly focused on two main themes: "Magic City" and "World Cultural Heritage", and went deep into the main urban areas of Chongqing and Dazu Rock Carvings Scenic Spot.
During their visit, the delegation ascended to the observation deck of the Jiefangbei WFC, the tallest building in Western China, to overlook the "8D Magical" Chongqing from high above; they took the Yangtze River Cableway, a new trendy landmark in Chongqing, experiencing "flying over" the Yangtze River and enjoying the dazzling night views of the mountain city; they also visited the Huguang Guild Hall and the Jialing River Cable-way Museum, a "World Cultural Heritage" site: the Dazu Rock Carvings, and watched the 8K dome film "Dazu Rock Carvings," appreciating the unique charm of Chongqing and cultural deposits.
To further enhance the understanding of Chongqing's cultural and tourism offerings among overseas Chinese entrepreneurs, deepen mutual friendships, and strengthen their confidence in market cooperation, on the morning of the October 28, at the Chongqing International Exchange Center for Culture and Tourism, the delegations met representatives from relevant associations, cruise companies, travel agencies, and other culture and tourism enterprises in Chongqing, and engaged in specialized exchanges and discussions on favorable policies for inbound tourism and specialty tourism products. Through these discussions, they sought business opportunities, planned cooperation, and promoted development, building a bridge for culture and tourism exchange and cooperation between Chongqing and Europe.
Overseas Chinese entrepreneurs stated that Chongqing is rich in tourism resources, which has made a deep impression on them, adding that upon returning to their countries, they would share the experiences from this field trip with other peers, to let more travel agents to learn more about Chongqing's culture and tourism features. They would also launch suitable travel routes based on the actual conditions of local tourists, thereby attracting more European tourists to visit Chongqing.
