CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The 2024 winter flight season will begin on October 27. Recently, Chongqing Airlines announced that it will open 9 new round-trip routes from Chongqing to Harbin, Changchun, Kashgar, and others, bringing its total to 56 routes serving 48 domestic and international cities, with an expected service of 20,000 flights.

In terms of routes originating from Chongqing, Chongqing Airlines will launch 9 new routes this winter season, namely Chongqing ⇋ Harbin, Chongqing ⇋ Changchun, Chongqing ⇋ Tianjin, Chongqing ⇋ Qingdao, Chongqing ⇋ Changsha, Chongqing ⇋ Changsha ⇋ Xiamen, Chongqing ⇋ Changsha ⇋ Fuzhou, Chongqing ⇋ Kashgar, and Chongqing ⇋ Korla. Additionally, it will increase the frequency of flights on Chongqing ⇋ Shenzhen and Chongqing ⇋ Wenzhou routes, and restore Chongqing ⇋ Kunming route.

For routes originating from other locations, Chongqing Airlines is continuing to expand capacity in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the East China region, adding 3 overnight aircrafts in Guangzhou to tap into quality markets. It will launch and increase the frequency of flights on 5 new routes, namely Guangzhou ⇋ Tianjin, Guangzhou ⇋ Shenyang, Guangzhou ⇋ Shijiazhuang, Guangzhou ⇋ Wenzhou, and Guangzhou ⇋ Ningbo. Additionally, it will introduce 2 new routes, namely Taizhou ⇋ Zhengzhou and Wenzhou ⇋ Wanzhou.

Regarding express flights, after the seasonal transition, Chongqing Airlines, in collaboration with its parent company China Southern Airlines, will stabilize “Chongqing-Guangzhou Express” at 10 flights daily and “Chongqing-Daxing Express” at 7-8 flights daily. It will further optimize flight schedules and upgrade service quality, adjusting the check-in deadline for “Chongqing-Guangzhou Express” to 30 minutes before departure to meet the travel needs of business passengers and enhance their experience.

In addition to these two core express routes, Chongqing Airlines, together with China Southern Airlines, will also increase flight frequency and optimize schedules on business routes to Shenzhen, Wuhan, Changsha, Changchun, and Zhuhai. Specifically, there will be 5-6 daily flights from Chongqing to Shenzhen and Wuhan, 4-5 daily flights to Changsha, 4 daily flights to Zhuhai, and 3 daily flights to Urumqi and Jieyang respectively, and 2 daily flights to Changchun, Haikou, Sanya, and Yiwu.
