CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The tourism in the Yangtze River Three Gorges is thriving. From October 15 to 16, the Fourth Promotional Event themed on “I Live by the Yangtze River” took place in Chongqing. According to on-site reports, from January to September this year, a total of 4,123 cruise ships departed on the Yangtze River, reaching 101.13% of the same period last year, with a total passenger volume of 935,800 persons.

The sightseeing cruise ship titled “Centurama · Verse” made its inaugural voyage on October 13, departing from Fengjie Baotaping Wharf and traveling to Yichang Maoping Port. In about 7 hours, it offered tourists a day tour of the highlights of the Yangtze River Three Gorges, achieving the experience of “sailing a thousand miles through Three Georges in a day”.

A relevant person in charge of Chongqing Gaund Holding Group stated that this route offers a one-day sightseeing tour of the Yangtze River Three Gorges. Although the duration is short, it encompasses the most scenic parts of the Three Gorges, filling a gap for short and high-end sightseeing cruises in the area.

In terms of vessel design, “Centurama · Verse” is the first electric-powered sightseeing cruise ship on the Yangtze River, significantly enhancing vibration reduction and noise cancellation. It features a 360-degree glass curtain wall and offers performances such as musical instrument displays, dance, skits, and poetry recitations to enhance passenger comfort and experience.
