CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- As China's inaugural digital energy industry exhibition, the 2024 China (Chongqing) Digital Energy Industry Innovation Conference and Exhibition was held in Chongqing from October 16 to 18. The event features participants from across the entire supply chain - spanning manufacturers to end users. It highlights cutting-edge advancements and innovations in the digital energy sector, offering a comprehensive platform for industry-wide collaboration at every level.

At the State Grid exhibition area, the Chongqing Electric Power Company presents four main sections, showcasing 17 groundbreaking technologies. These include the Chongqing Energy Big Data Center, the Chongqing Digital Fast Charging Platform, the Virtual Power Plant Service Platform, and the "Green Power Regeneration Cabin" under the sub-brand "Yaohongyan". Also on display is the company's use of drones for intelligent power grid inspections.

One standout exhibit is the Virtual Power Plant Service Platform. This year, the Chongqing Economic and Information Commission, in collaboration with State Grid Chongqing Electric Power, focused on developing a comprehensive virtual power plant construction and operation system, built on a new power load management framework. It represents the first citywide, unified virtual power plant platform in Chongqing and is also the first provincial-level platform of its kind to go live in the central and western regions of China.

During the summer of 2024, Chongqing’s virtual power plant helped five businesses participate in 11 scheduled demand responses and two real-time demand responses, achieving a maximum load reduction of 143,600 kilowatts. The platform has since aggregated 5,993 potential users, unlocking an adjustable power capacity of 220,000 kilowatts. This transition has shifted Chongqing’s power load management from a "government directive" model to a "market-driven" approach, significantly enhancing efficiency.

Chongqing-based Qing'an Energy Storage also brings several cutting-edge innovations to the exhibition, including the Luminary-233 low-voltage liquid-cooled energy storage system. This system utilizes next-generation battery management technology to maintain a temperature differential of within 2℃ among battery cells. Additionally, Qing'an introduced the world’s first direct-cooled energy storage solution. According to the company’s staff, this new direct-cooling technology boasts a cooling coefficient of performance (COP) 30% higher than traditional liquid-cooled systems, faster temperature response times, and improved battery temperature control. These advancements further ensure the system’s operational efficiency.

In total, nearly 80 companies from the digital energy industry participated in the event, showcasing cutting-edge advancements in the energy field. Highlights included intelligent operation and maintenance platforms for new energy, smart new energy stations, intelligent production management systems, and digital energy control platforms. These exhibits demonstrated the global power giants' achievements in driving green, low-carbon transformation and development. (Translated by Yuki, Fathom Language Limited)
