CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport recorded over 150,000 passenger trips on October 7, according to the airport. During the National Day holiday, the airport managed 6,668 inbound and outbound flights, handling 1,057,000 passenger trips and transporting 7,775.3 tons of cargo. Passenger throughput increased by 1.6%, with a significant 2.8% rise in flights and an impressive 21.0% boost in cargo and mail services. The outbound passenger load factor also increased, reaching 91.1%, marking an uptick of 2.8 percentage points from last year.

To accommodate the travel demands during this busy season, the airport collaborated closely with various airlines to enhance service offerings. During the National Day Golden Week, more than 20 daily flights were available on major routes to destinations such as Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Hangzhou. Popular routes to Dalian, Haikou, Xiamen, and Guangzhou also saw increased service frequency, with wide-body aircraft deployed on key routes to Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, and Haikou to enhance capacity.
