CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- The reporter learned from the Exit and Entry Administration of Chongqing Public Security Bureau that during the National Day holiday in 2024, Chongqing citizens made about 56,000 outbound trips, with an average of more than 8,000 trips per day, showing a growth rate of 48.1% on a year-on-year basis compared with that during the National Day holiday in 2023. Among them, on October 2 which was the highest peak of the number of citizens leaving the country, there were more than 10,000 outbound trips made.

In terms of travel destinations, Hong Kong, Macao, Thailand, Japan, Vietnam, South Korea, Singapore and Malaysia ranked high. Among them, the number of citizens going to Hong Kong, and Macao was higher, accounting for 71.27% of the total number of outbound citizens in the same period; and there were more than 1,000 trips to Thailand, Japan, Vietnam, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and other countries.
