CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- This year marks the China-France Cultural Exchange Year, and the exhibition at the Xu Beihong Art Museum opened as part of the celebration.
The “Xu Beihong’s Sketching Works and Collections from His Stay in France” exhibition is divided into six sections and features 24 rare pieces including Xu Beihong’s only early work on the theme of horses, Three Horses (1919), and his first oil painting of a nude female figure, The Girl (1922) – both treasured works from the Xu Beihong Memorial Hall. The exhibition highlights a rich collection of sketches, paintings, and reproductions created by Xu Beihong during his study in France, and works from his teachers and friends that he collected over the years.
Citizens can visit the Xu Beihong Art Museum without an appointment. (Translated by Yuki, Fathom Language Limited)
