The “Peninsula Ferry” route runs between Hongyadong Wharf in Yuzhong District and Jiulong Ferry Terminal in Jiulongpo District, spanning approximately 12 kilometers. The upstream journey takes around 60 minutes, while the downstream route is a shorter 40-minute trip.

A new way to experience Chongqing’s culture on the water
“The 'Peninsula Ferry' is the fourth cross-river sightseeing route we have launched in Chongqing’s central urban area,” said a spokesperson for Chongqing Passenger Liner. Together with the "Two Rivers Fery", "Jialing Ferry", and "Xiajiang Ferry" routes, it forms the complete "Chongqing Ferry" series.
At the launch event, Chongqing Passenger Liner introduced the newly upgraded "Chongqing Ferry" series. Unlike the two rivers tour, the "Chongqing Ferry" series has been reimagined with improvements in concept, quality, service, and vision, while still maintaining its transportation function. The goal is to create a relaxing and comfortable water sightseeing experience, transforming the traditional transportation means into a mobile cultural space on the river. By blending ferry culture with Chongqing’s vibrant local character, the "Chongqing Ferry" series will become a distinctive cultural ambassador for the city.
Each "Chongqing Ferry" route now has its exclusive identification color:
Jialing Ferry (Hongyadong – Ciqikou – Dazhulin): With rich red tourist attractions, this route is themed "Passionate Red".
Two Rivers Ferry (Hongyadong – Danzishi): The energetic "Sunshine Orange" reflects the vibrant riverside atmosphere.
Xiajiang Ferry (Hongyadong – Guangyang Island): Featuring the city’s ecological beauty, this route is represented by "Vintage Green".
Peninsula Ferry (Hongyadong – Jiulong Ferry Terminal): With an artistic ambiance, this route is known as "Time Blue".
The spokesperson added that the maiden voyage of the "Peninsula Ferry" signals the complete rollout of the city’s water-based light tours, offering residents and visitors a scenic, relaxing way to explore Chongqing. (Translated by Yuki, Fathom Language Limited)
