CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On September 20, the 7th batch of the Chinese medical team assisting Barbados departed from Chongqing, embarking on a year-long mission of national medical aid.

This latest team, consisting of nine members, has been specially selected from four prestigious 3A-grade hospitals in Chongqing: the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, Children’s Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, Chongqing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the Three Gorges Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing University. The team, with an average age of 37.5 years, includes 5 PhD holders, 2 with master's degrees, and 1 with a bachelor's degree.

This marks the seventh time Chongqing has sent a team to Barbados since the first mission in December 2016. Over the past eight years, the city has dispatched six batches of medical professionals to the island nation, totaling 53 participants, including support staff such as accompanying chefs.
