CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On September 22, a hundred couples in Chongqing gathered at the Three Gorges Star Gymnasium in Wanzhou to participate in a grand group wedding as part of the 2024 National Ten-Thousand-People Group Wedding. Dressed in traditional Han-style wedding gowns, these newlyweds joined in the nationwide celebration, themed "Celebrating the Nation and Families, Witnessing Happiness".

Simultaneously, the main event took place in Beijing, along with 49 other sub-venues across provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. More than 5,100 couples from across China participated in this massive celebration of love and unity. The event, co-organized by the All-China Women’s Federation, the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission, aimed to promote a modern marriage and family culture.
