CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On the evening of September 13, the new generation of high-end luxury cruise ship on the Yangtze River, the "Century Voyage," made its maiden voyage, departing smoothly from Chaotianmen Wharf 11, operating the Yangtze River Three Gorges route "Chongqing – Yichang".

Powered by electricity, more environmentally friendly with less carbon emissions

The "Century Voyage", 149.99 meters long, 21.2 meters wide, with a total tonnage of 15,000 tons, is powered by electricity and equipped with a "smart energy efficiency system", which has enhanced its overall performance and efficiency, offering advantages such as vibration reduction, noise reduction, reduced emissions, and increased usable space in the cabins, and allowing the ship to meet both green and high-efficiency standards.

In recent years, the Yangtze River Three Gorges Cruise has seen continuous upgrades on its ships. As a new generation high-end luxury cruise ship, the "Century Voyage" has fully upgraded its accommodations, dining, and service facilities. The ship is equipped with entertainment facilities such as theater, bar, KTV, children's playground, shopping center, game rooms, foot spa, and even a river-view library. The public areas are equipped with a diffuse air conditioning system, making it more comfortable for passengers.

Additionally, a "well cable device" has been installed in the middle of the ship for safer docking. The ship also features the first storage tank on the Yangtze River dedicated to collecting kitchen wastewater, with a capacity of 40 tons, making it even more environmentally friendly.

The "Century Voyage", in collaboration with Chongqing Jiangbei Library, the Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum, and the Yichang Museum, has provided a multi-layered cultural and tourism experience centered around books, Three Gorges relics, and the scenic beauty of the Three Gorges.

One highlight is the "24-hour Tour on the Three Gorges" themed relics exhibition, which was held on a Yangtze River cruise ship for the first time, showcases exquisite replicas of relics excavated from the Three Gorges, with exhibits displayed from lower to higher floors in order of the time when cultural relics were unearthed in the Three Gorges.

Paper books provided by the Chongqing Jiangbei District Library are also available in public spaces throughout the ship, accompanying passengers with the scent of books.

Additionally, the "Century Voyage" has introduced a "digital museum experience area" for the first time.
