CHONGQING (CQNEWS) -- On September 10, the reporter learned from China Feidi that during this summer travel season, the overall flight operation rate of Chongqing’s short-haul routes reached about 80%, with over 800 passenger trips made, 56 flights operated with 100% of passenger load factor, reflecting tourists’ fever and strong demand for the city’s short-haul routes.

It is learned that since the launch of five short-haul routes in Chongqing (Qianjiang=Yongchuan, Qianjiang=Wanzhou, Qianjiang=Liangping, Liangping=Wulong, Yongchuan=Wulong), they have been operated well, with over 600 flights operated safely, and over 2,700 passenger trips made successfully. This suggests that Chongqing has made considerable progress in focusing on constructing air transportation corridors for the western, southeastern and northeastern regions of Chongqing, laying the foundation for the city's short-haul transportation network.

Wu Yuhao, a student from Qianjiang, who is studying in a university in Yongchuan, shared his experience. “In the past, I had to transfer through Chongqing by train to get home, but now it only takes an hour. It's safe, fast, and time saving." He also mentioned that spacious and comfortable seats in the cabin made the journey easier and more enjoyable, which made him go home more often.

Yu Zupeng, engaged in building materials business in Liangping District, always traveling between cities, said that the launch of these routes has greatly benefited his work. “It used to take me half a day to get around, but now it only takes me 1 hour to reach my destinations, making my work much more effective,” said Mr. Yu, adding that the city’s short-haul routes have not only saved him a lot of time, but also allowed him to arrange his business trips more flexible.

The opening and operation of Chongqing’s short-haul routes has significantly improved the city’s traffic accessibility, which has made a breakthrough from "zero to one" for these routes, offered more travel options for the public, improving travel efficiency, fostered regional inter-connectivity within the city, optimizing the business environment, and furthered Chongqing’s opening-up to the outside world, which will contribute effectively to the construction of a comprehensive, multi-dimensional traffic network.

A relevant person in charge of China Feidi stated that they will continue improve the operation of Chongqing’s short-haul routes project, optimize flight scheduling, strengthen marketing efforts, and enhance service quality to better meet passengers’ travel needs. Additionally, China Feidi will also explore and launch new routes connecting Chongqing with surrounding areas, helping the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle and the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
